8/28 Forecast

Ever try to get in to see your chiropractor, only to be told you’re waiting a few days? Every been hurt on a Saturday? Hood River Chiropractic, located downtown above Flow Yoga, can help you out. Docs Michelle and Alex (who rips Post Canyon all the time) can get you in, even on a Saturday. These two understand you don’t want to slow down because you’re hurt. They’ll work with you to formulate a recovery plan that allows you to keep doing the things you love (like ride Post). They take insurance, they offer cash discounts, and they’ll make sure you get the treatment you need. Finally, if you need some supplements (no, not EPO or HGH), they’ll do customized nutritional analysis to make sure you’re only getting the supps you really need. To book an appointment, give them a call: 541-406-0849. Two of the lucky people on the email version of this forecast will win free chiropractic appointments this week.

The low pressure system that brought us clouds last night is still moving east today, but sadly, it doesn’t seem to be dumping a bunch of rain on the mountain bike trails. With the gradient already at .12 this morning, we’ll see 16-19 early from Hood River eastward, picking up to 23-26 from Hood River to Arlington this afternoon.

Tomorrow looks like a stable setup, with cool air in Portland and warm weather in the desert. We should start off with westerlies in the 21-24 range from Viento to the Hatchery, picking up to 24-27 at Stevenson and Hood River in the morning and Rowena and Doug’s in the afternoon.

The Clymb: free membership.
Access to super cheap gear including Trew, Zeal, Sierra Designs, and many more.

On Tuesday a deep layer of cool air pushes into Oregon and Washington, setting up strong wind in the Gorge. The clouds may push past hood River, so we’ll probably see 22-24 in the morning east of Hood River, picking up to 25-28 from Mosier to Arlington in the afternoon.

In events today, the West Coast Subaru Rally continues at the Skamania County Fairgrounds this morning, and then this afternoon, there’s pickup touch rugby at the Mosier School at 4pm.

Coming up tomorrow, there’s free tai chi at Wilson Park in Hood River at 5:30, and there’s also the Alternative Ride to Mosier, leaving Mountain View Cycles at 6:15pm. This week’s ride is a benefit for big dawg Mike, who crashed a few weeks ago. There will be a cool silent auction at the Thirsty Woman, so make sure you’re there. Also, if you’re coming, please bring lights and wear a helmet, and as always, no spandex is allowed.

Have an awesome day today!
