Paramount Energy Solutions - Solar for zero down

Ever try to get in to see your chiropractor, only to be told you’re waiting a few days? Every been hurt on a Saturday? Hood River Chiropractic, located downtown above Flow Yoga, can help you out. Docs Michelle and Alex (who rips Post Canyon all the time) can get you in, even on a Saturday. These two understand you don’t want to slow down because you’re hurt. They’ll work with you to formulate a recovery plan that allows you to keep doing the things you love (like ride Post). They take insurance, they offer cash discounts, and they’ll make sure you get the treatment you need. Finally, if you need some supplements (no, not EPO or HGH), they’ll do customized nutritional analysis to make sure you’re only getting the supps you really need. To book an appointment, give them a call: 541-406-0849. Two of the lucky people on the email version of this forecast will win free chiropractic appointments this week.

If you didn’t catch the news, it was windy yesterday, and it’s going to be rather windy again today. That’s a good thing for kiters and windsurfers, but not so great for firefighters up on the Dollar Lake fire, so if you’re out playing today, think about the wildland fire teams and wish them luck. At least the weather today will be cooler and a bit cloudier for the teams up in the woods.

As for the wind, the gradient was at .12 early and it was already blowing in the low to mid twenties. We’ll see 23-26 east of Hood River this morning, as far east as Arlington. We’ll have to see where the cloud line ends up this afternoon (it’s dark right now, but I can see that there are low clouds over Hood River), but east of the low clouds we’ll have 28-32 or more, and west of the clouds we’ll have 18-22. I think the strongest wind will be from Doug’s to Maryhill today. Bring your small gear.

The Clymb: free membership.
Access to super cheap gear including Trew, Zeal, Sierra Designs, and many more.

Tomorrow looks cloudier still, with the high temperature only getting up to 70 or so. We’ll have west wind again tomorrow, in the 22-25 range east of Hood River in the morning and 28-32 in the afternoon. West wind continues on Thrusday, with 22-25 for much of the day, with the strongest wind from Viento to The Dalles.

Remember, September is just two days away, and it’s bike commute month sponsored by GorgeOwned. You can sign up for the challenge at Bike Commute Challenge, and win yourself some free coffee from Doppio and all three Ten Speed Coffee shops, along with a free day pass to the Hood River pool. You’ll also be entered for state-wide drawings each week. Why should you participate? Because bikes are cool and riding them will give you ripped legs and a toned butt. And also because it’s good for the world.

Coming up once September starts is… ski pass time. Meadows passes are going on sale September first, and they have a new high speed quad for you this year. If you’re wondering about winter already, NOAA is calling for either a neutral year or a weak La Nina, meaning we should have average or better snowfall. That means 450” or more, in case you were wondering (we had 620 last year and somewhere around 400 the year before).

Have an awesome day today!
