Strong west wind continues today. The gradient this morning is .08/.09, and it’s blowing in the upper twenties at Maryhill and low teens under the clouds near Hood River. We’ll see a low pressure trough move east of the Cascades this afternoon, so things are going to be gusty in the corridor today and best from Doug’s to Maryhill, picking up late at Arlington. We should see 23-26 this morning east of Doug’s, picking up to 26-30 as the trough moves east later.

Tomorrow sees weak high pressure over Oregon and Washington, and models suggest east wind or north wind, but we should still see some west wind in the Gorge. The most likely scenario is 5-10 in the morning and 13-15 in the afternoon, with the strongest wind from Stevenson to Mosier.

Access to super cheap gear including Trew, Zeal, Sierra Designs, and many more.

We’ll see more clouds again on Friday, kicking west winds back into the 17-21 range from Stevenson to Hood River.
