Ever try to get in to see your chiropractor, only to be told you’re waiting a few days? Every been hurt on a Saturday? Hood River Chiropractic, located downtown above Flow Yoga, can help you out. Docs Michelle and Alex (who rips Post Canyon all the time) can get you in, even on a Saturday. These two understand you don’t want to slow down because you’re hurt. They’ll work with you to formulate a recovery plan that allows you to keep doing the things you love (like ride Post). They take insurance, they offer cash discounts, and they’ll make sure you get the treatment you need. Finally, if you need some supplements (no, not EPO or HGH), they’ll do customized nutritional analysis to make sure you’re only getting the supps you really need. To book an appointment, give them a call: 541-406-0849. Two of the lucky people on the email version of this forecast will win free chiropractic appointments this week.

We’re coming off a three day stretch of wind, and things are going to back off today, which is great news for the teams up at the Dollar Lake fire. We’ll see nw wind today in the 10-15 range, strongest on the Columbia from Stevenson to Mosier.

The Clymb: free membership.
Access to super cheap gear including Trew, Zeal, Sierra Designs, and many more.

A weak system pushes in tonight for more clouds tomorrow, and we’ll see 17-20 in the morning from Hood River out to The Dalles. The westerlies shut off on either tomorrow afternoon, or if not then, definitely on Saturday, when we’ll see east wind in the 22-25 range near Stevenson. On Sunday, the wind pretty much shuts down to nothing.

To start the holiday weekend, it’s First Friday in Hood River tomorrow, and as I told you yesterday, there’s that awesome Rock Paper Scissors competition with great prizes at Andrew’s Pizza at 6:30. Also on Friday, come to the Warming Shelter Coalition’s dunk tank (no, not drunk tank) at 2nd and Cascade and knock me into the water starting at 5:45. This is your chance to get back at me for any missed forecasts this summer. At 7pm, you can knock Katie Crafts into the dunk tank.

And then, for the rest of the weekend, there’s the Sandy Ridge Super D, and there’s a CGWA swap meet at the Hood River Expo Center on Sunday morning. If you like whitewater rafting, it’s the first weekend of Tieton season. They’d started releasing water as of yesterday, so it should be runable just in time for the hot weather this weekend! Or, you could just stick around here. The White Salmon is at a lovely 2.25 feet, meaning the Cave Wave is in prime form, and more importantly, all the raft companies will be running Husum Falls, for maximum carnage watching.

Have an awesome day today!
