Wind: W 20-25 in the morning, SW 20-40 in the afternoon, and W 30 overnight.

Wednesday looks snowy and moderately stormy as W and NW wind wring additional snow out of the clouds. The snow level will be 1500-2000′ all day. About 0.8” WE falls during the day, for 8-9” of lovely powder. Another 0.2” WE of pow-pow falls overnight, for a couple more inches of snow. While the free air freezing level will start at 6500′ Friday and rise to 10,000′, some lower areas will start the day below freezing. Teacup, for example, will likely be in the 20’s to start the day. Keep that in mind for your waxing. Wind Friday: W 15 in the morning, SW 10-120 in the afternoon, and W 45 after midnight. Saturday might pick up a little snow, and it might just be cloudy for part of the day.

Cycling

11/8: GP will be closed through December for upgrades. Contact HRATS if you’d like to help. Motorized use is open on ALL Hood River County Land now. Do be aware of the possibility of freeze-thaw (muddy) conditions\. Do not ride if it was below freezing last night and is above freezing when you want to ride. The soil structure will be liquefied, and you will do permanent damage to trails.
