Gorge Wind Forecast

The weather for the week starts to look more wintry in terms of wind. A cold front dropping in from the north on Friday ushers in cold air and strong easterlies for several days. For Thursday, expect light and variable wind all day. The western Gorge will be the exception. A period of easterlies at 10-15 west of Hood River is possible but not certain. River flow is 132kcfs. River temp is 59. High temp forecast is 56.

Friday starts with east 20-25 from Rooster to Viento with temps in the 30’s. Easterlies back off midday as a weather system approaches. The wind then picks up into the gusty low to mid 20’s from Multnomah Falls to Bonneville Dam, possibly to Viento, but probably not. High temp: 50. Saturday starts out calm. As that cold front pushes in, easterlies pick up to 15-20 all the way from Rooster Rock to Arlington. High temp: 46.
