Good morning,

Today’s Mt. Hood weather contains clouds, with a chance of a few flurries, mist or sprinkles during the day, with a more significant chance of a mix of flurries and sprinkles after 5pm. The snow level will be 5500-6000′. Total accumulation overnight will be .1-.2” water value at most, for a trace of new snow. Wind will be S 10-15.

Tomorrow looks similar, with occasional light flurries / drizzle for no significant accumulation. The snow level will be 5500-6000′. Wind will be S 10-15.

Friday starts partly cloudy, becoming sunny in the afternoon. The free air freezing level will be 6000′, and wind will be WSW 10-15.

Saturday and Sunday look clear, sunny, and very warm, with the freezing level rising to 11,000 and temps at 5000′ approaching 50 degrees. Wind looks to be light and variable.

In Gorge weather, it’s going to be glorious. Today will be partly to mostly cloudy (or high overcast), with temps in the low 40’s early and low 60’s this afternoon with light east wind. Tomorrow looks exactly the same as today. Friday starts off partly cloudy with temps in the mid-40’s early, rising to the mid-60’s in the afternoon under sunny skies. Light wind Friday. Saturday and Sunday look warm and sunny with temps nearing 70 degrees in the afternoon.

Good morning,

I had the loveliest bike ride yesterday. It was nearly sunny, and there was nearly no wind, and the pavement was perfect. I forgot one thing about riding in the Upper Valley in early spring on a no-wind day: Here I am, riding along in my little spandex outfit (okay, I was bundled up because it was under 50 degrees, but you get my point), and there are guys dressed in spacesuits, driving tractors alongside the road, spraying stuff high into the air. Pesticide Patrol! Oh well… it’s not like it isn’t in the air I breathe, the water I windsurf upon, and the food I eat. It’s just… more obvious when the chemicals are dousing me as I ride.

Anyway, the next three days will be stellar for orchardists looking to get the chemicals on the trees before the bugs get to the trees. Road bikers will be happy too. And standup paddlers.

Gorge weather today: Temps in the upper 30’s this morning and mid 50’s this afternoon. Very light wind through the whole Gorge. Cloudy sky, chance of showers. Tomorrow: Temps in the low 40’s in the morning and low 60’s in the afternoon. Partly cloudy with showers possible starting late afternoon. East wind at 15-18 near Stevenson. Thursday: Temps in the mid-40’s early and mid-60’s in the afternoon under mostly clear sky. Light wind.

Up on Mt. Hood, the weather will be decidedly unexciting. Snow flurries are floating around this mroning, and will continue through this morning, and maybe through the evening too, with no significant accumulation. The snow level will be 5000-5500′ all day. Wind will be light and variable.

Wednesday sees the snow level at 5500′ early, rising to 6000′ in the afternoon. Flurries mix with sunbreaks during the day, and then heavier snow/sprinkles moves in overnight for .2-.3” water value and 1-2” of new snow, at best. Wind Wednesday will be S 10 early and SW 15-20 in the afternoon.

Thursday starts off clouds with the sky clearing during the day and a few sprinkles or flurries or thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. The snow level will be 5500-6000′, and wind will be SW 10-15.

Friday looks cloudy early, becoming clear in the afternoon, with the snow level at 6000-6500′ and light and variable wind.
