Thank you for using this forecast! Your donations keep this forecast going – despite rumors to the contrary, nobody pays me to write this and post it. This forecast started as a way for me to find better windsurfing conditions. It morphed into a way for me to find better skiing in the winter. Seemed silly to keep that information to myself, so it’s here for you (almost) every day. Make a $12 or larger donation, and you’re on the email list for a year. No dealing with the twice-yearly pledge drive. Sometimes I even have prizes to give away from the email list sponsors. Thank you again for your support! Enjoy the snow and wind and sun!

Good morning,
It’s yet another beautiful day in the Gorge today. We’ll see a few low clouds in the western Gorge, but other than that, it’s going to be sunny. For wind, we’ll start with westerlies at 5-10 or maybe 10-15, but this whole marine push/incoming system has been delay. So much for our big day – we’ll see gusty 23-26 through the whole Gorge late this afternoon. No big nuker day. Temps today will be in the mid 40’s early and low 70’s this afternoon.
Tomorrow starts with light west wind, less than 10 mph, building to west at 18-23 in the afternoon. Temps will be in the upper 40’s early and low 70’s late. On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll see westerlies in the mid-twenties. Temps on Saturday will be in the low 50’s early and upper 60’s late. Next chance of frost is Monday night…

Coming up tonight, at 5:30, Dirty Fingers hosts the Post and Pint mountain bike ride. Complete the 2 hour ride and you’ll earn a free pint of beer. In trail news, it’s starting to get a little dusty, so get out and get it now. If you want to build trails, there are two work parties coming up: The Spokes Club is at the White Salmon bike park at 9am on Saturday and WTA has work parties at Syncline both Saturday and Sunday at 8:30. Next chance of trail-improving rain: Monday.
