Good morning,

What a lovely day! We’ll see orographic snow flurries and decreasing wind today with sunbreaks before clouds move back in late in the day. Winds this morning will be WSW 35-45, going to W 20-25 by 10am, going to WSW 15-20 by 4pm. Total precip today will be an inch or so this morning, with snow ending by 1pm. The snow level will hold around 1500-2000’ today.

Tomorrow looks partly cloudy in the morning with precip (unfortunately) staying mostly to the south of us. At best we’ll see an inch or two of snow during the day, but even that looks unlikely. Winds will be NW 10-25 tomorrow morning, going to W 10-15 by 4pm. The free air freezing level will be around 500-1000’.

Monday looks dry with clouds moving in and flurries by 4pm. Total precip overnight into Tuesday will be less than .25” of water value for 1-2” of new snow. Winds on Monday will be NW 10-20 all day, going to WSW 15-25 late in the evening. The snow level will be around 2500-3000’.

Tuesday brings a warming trend with increasing wind. The snow level starts at 3000’, rising to 5000’ by 4pm, when snow will start. Wednesday looks pretty warm, with the snow level around 5000’ all day. By Thursday 10am, the snow level will plummet and lots of pow will fall. The extended forecast looks fairly cold and snowy on Mt. Hood. Prepare for more powder. =)

Have an awesome day.
