Good morning,

It’s a lovely morning out there with some little fluffy clouds in the sky and clearing on the way today. The setup looks pretty good on the radar, and the desert will get a jump on the heating today, but larger weather features will conspire to keep the windspeed down. A big low pressure system rotates off the coast and a cold front approaches this afternoon. So, I think we’ll see low teens during the day today slowly tapering down to 10 or so early afternoon, then picking up to 17-21 late in the day from Stevenson to Rowena, and then at Arlington very late.

It’s going to rain tomorrow. It’s going to rain hard. It’s going to rain .75-.1” or so, with 1-1.5” in the mountains. Sure you could go windsurfing or kiting, but you’re going to have wet and gusty 14-17. In addition, it’s going to be chilly. The snow level will be 6000’ during the day Wednesday, dropping to 3000’ by Thursday morning.

The wind on Thursday morning looks like, picking up late in the day. It looks rainy and wet, at least in the western Gorge, with the snow level remaining below 5000’ on Thursday and Friday. Friday might be a nice day for skinning and skiing.

Remember your events: Kayak Shed shop paddle tomorrow, sailboat racing tomorrow, Post and Pint Super D shuttle on Thursday.

A heads up: There will be a lot of downhillers riding the Super D on Friday and Saturday (the race is Sunday), so you may want to ride elsewhere. Ellsworth demos are Thursday and Friday. If you want to do something fun this weekend, I 100% recommend rafting, because we’re going to get a ton of rain and snowmelt the next few days, and the rivers will be way up.
