Gorge Wind Forecast

Today’s your last best chance for Corridor westerlies. Looks like Fall arrives in force next weekend, which likely shifts the best chance of wind to the far east. For Sunday (that’s today!), we’ll have 15-18 to start from Viento to Hood River. Give the desert a few hours to heat up, and you’ll find westerlies at 23-26 from Stevenson to Rufus with 18-23 near Arlington. River flow is 103kcfs and temp is 65 degrees. High temp today: 73.

Monday’s forecast has been bouncing around all over the place. As of this morning, it looks like the day will start with 10-14 from Viento to Swell with light west wind to Mosier and light east wind to the east. Afternoon westerlies pick up to 14-17 from Stevenson to Swell with light easterlies to the east.

Easterlies return for the western Gorge on Tuesday. Morning wind will be 20-25 from Rooster Rock to Viento. Expect “not much” in the afternoon; easterlies drop to 10mph or so from Rooster to Stevenson with light wind everywhere else.
