Good morning!
It’s hard to complain about a sunny day now, with the sunshine corralled between storm cycles. Enjoy the blue sky and the UV rays today, as they aren’t going to last…
Today looks sunny, with a chance of high clouds moving in late in the day. The free air freezing level will be 7000’ in the morning, rising to 9000’ by 1pm and holding overnight. Wind will be WNW 25-30 through 4pm, switching to SW 20-25 after that, and picking up a little to SW 25-30 by 10pm.
Sunday morning starts off cloudy, with possible fog on Mt. Hood, depending on the storm’s track. The snow level will be 9000’ at 4am, 7000’ at 7am, 6500’ at 10am, 5500-6000’ through 4pm and 5000-5500’ at 7pm and holding through midnight. Precip, sadly, will start around 10am. Wind will be SW 40-45 early, going to WSW 40ish by 10am and dropping to WSW 30-35 by 7pm.
It looks like we’ll see light rain between 10am and 4pm Sunday, when precip increases but also switches to a mix of rain and snow. The snow level is pretty borderline, but I think we’ll be back to all snow, all the time sometime between 4pm and 7pm. We’ll see .2” rain before 4pm, with another 1.3” water value (WV) between 4pm and 4am Monday, for 5-7” down low and 10-13” up high.
Monday morning starts off with fresh snow on the ground and decreasing snow flurries. We might see an inch or two after 4am, but most likely we’ll have partly cloudy skies becoming clear. The freezing level will be at 2000’ at 4am, dropping to 500’ by 10am. Wind will be W 35-40 at 4am, switching to WNW 35-40 at 10am.
Tuesday looks mostly clear with the freezing level at 1500’ in the morning and 3500’ in the afternoon with WSW wind at 30-35 for much of the day.
