Mt. Hood Snow Forecast
There is ZERO snow in the forecast for the next 10 days, and the temps at 5000′ will be slowly rising all week, topping out near 50 degrees. For Tuesday, the mountain will have sun. The free air freezing level (FAF) will be 5500′ early and 9000′ later. East wind at 10mph in the morning and 15mph in the afternoon. Wednesday looks sunny with the FAF at 10,000′. Max temps at 5000′ will be in the upper 30’s. East wind at 20mph early and SE 20mph in the afternoon. Thursday will be sunny. The FAF will be 10,000′ all day. Max temps will be in the upper 40’s at 5000′. SSE wind at 20 in the mornign and S 10 in the afternoon.

Gorge Wind Forecast
For Tuesday, expect east wind at 30mph near Rooster Rock this morning and 40mph this afternoon. Wednesday looks like E 40-50 all day. Thursday looks like E 50-60. Friday looks like E 30-40+. Saturday looks like 35-40, and Sunday looks like 40-45. Take 10mph for Stevenson wind and 15-20mph off for Viento wind. River temp is 47 degrees.
Gorge Weather Forecast
Looks like a sunny day today! Temps will be near 30 early and in the low 40’s later. East wind. No rainbows. The weather for the next week looks exactly the same. Bam. Done.

Road and Mountain Biking
NO, NO, NO! Do not ride Syncline. It was below freezing last night and will be above freezing today. We’re entering a freeze-thaw cycle. If you ride areas exposed to open air, you will do significant damage to the trails. Ride the roads or the gravel. Please! And do come to the HRATS fundraiser at Kickstand Coffee on Saturday evening.
Upcoming Events
There’s ping pong at the Hood River Armory at 5:30pm and Zumba at the St. Francis House in Odell at 6pm. There’s also free YogaFaith at Pure Yoga in The Dalles at 6:45. Thursday is the Meadows Avy Dog fundraiser at Double Mountain and Saturday is the HRATS silent raffle at Kickstand Coffee. There’s contra dancing at the Hood River Grange on Saturday evening.
