Gorge Wind Forecast

We’ll have continued east wind for the next several days. Along with the easterlies, we’ll have sunshine and unseasonably warm temps. Yay. For Thursday, morning easterlies will be in the 15-20 range from Rooster Rock to Viento. That wind will quickly die off and go calm by noon, staying that way for the rest of the day according to the GFS and picking up to west 8-12 according to the Euro. I like the latter better, so let’s go with that.

Easterlies return on Friday with 15-20 pretty much all day from Rooster Rock to Viento. Stronger east wind returns for Saturday; we’ll have 25-30 at Rooster Rock, 20-25 at Stevenson, and 15-20 near Viento. The wind will fade to 15-20 in the afternoon. It’s probably worth mentioning that the Euro is predicting lesser east wind on Saturday. Models agree on light and variable wind for Sunday: light easterlies early and light westerlies later.

BONUS: Jones Thursday: 10-13. Friday: 7-11. Saturday: nope. Sauvie’s Thursday: no. Friday: 7-11. Saturday: 5-8. Coast (north/central/south). Thursday: NW5/N5-10/15-20, W swell 6′ at 13 seconds. Friday: 10-15/20-25/25-30, W 4′ @ 12. Saturday: 15-20/15-20/5-10, W 4′ @ 11.
