Gorge Wind Forecast

While it doesn’t look like westerlies out there early this morning, it’ll look like westerlies out there this afternoon. Expect 5-15ish everywhere this morning along with rain. After 11am, westerlies pick up to gusty 25-29 from The Dalles to Boardman. Under the showers and clouds in the west, we’ll have gusty 11-16. River flow is 70,400cfs, temp is 65, and high temp forecast is 61.

Sunday continues with the clouds and showers. The wind starts calm int eh central Gorge with 12-15 to the east and west. Afternoon wind levels out at 10-13 or so all the way from Stevenson to Arlington. Monday sees a low move in near Vancouver Island and high pressure build in behind. That’s a classic fall setup. We’ll see 27-31 to start the day from Stevenson to Rufus, maybe Arlington too. Jump on it, because the wind will fade after 11am or noon or so, finishing with 10-13 in the west and 20-23 east of The Dalles. The rest of the week has too much model disagreement to do a forecast, so we’ll wait and see!

Coast, Jones, Sauvie’s

Coast (north/central/south, waves. Direction north unless otherwise noted. Swell forecast from NWS.) Stormy, rainy weather for the next three days at the coast. Nothin’ at Jones and Sauvie’s.
