Halloween Forecast

I am so excited for perfect mountain biking for the next week or so. It’s going to be perfect starting around tomorrow, especially since all the zombies and witches and Catholic schoolgirls will be back in hiding for another year.

In the meantime, today is the Hood River Ski Swap, but more importantly, it’s pass picture day. Head on up to the HR high school in your costume to get your picture taken.

After that, you can go windsurfing or kiting. The early gradient was at .11/.07, and that signifies you should be on the water today at Rowena, Doug’s, Rufus or The Wall. I’d say 24-27 is a reasonable call from mid-morning onward.

We’ll see very light westerlies in the morning tomorrow, switching to kite-strength easterlies by evening.

All next week is mountain biking and mushroom hunting season.

If you can’t tell, I haven’t had any coffee yet, so I need to go make some. Have a nice day.
