Gorge Wind Forecast

Easterlies start the day on this beautiful-sunrise Friday morning. They won’t last long. We’ll have 25-30 at Rooster, 15-20 at Stevenson, and 15-20 at Viento for a couple hours this morning. As a weather system approaches this afternoon, westerlies pick up to gusty 23-26 WEST of Bonneville dam.

Cold air moves in from the NE on Saturday. Widespread easterlies at 20-25 result. You’ll find that wind all the way from Rooster to Arlington, and it’ll kick off right around sunrise. Sunday sees strong easterlies all the way up into the mountains. Along the river, we’ll have 30-40 near Rooster and 25-30 near Stevenson. Temps will be in the 20’s in the morning and low 40’s in the afternoon, so do be careful if you decide to go out. Take a partner, and keep that person in sight.
