It’s going to be another windy day in the Gorge today! The early gradient was at .08 and clouds were stacked up west of the hatchery. With upper flow more Norhterly today, it’s going to be a bit gusty, but still a good day. It’ll be 19-23 this morning from the Corridor to Mosier. As a front approaches the coast later, winds shift eastward and pick up to 22-25.
Winds tomorrow likely start out in the corridor in the low twenties, building to 22-25 or so. As a low pressure trough pushes inland later, winds shift eastward to Avery and Arlington, where they’ll be in the mid twenties.
Monday looks a bit lighter, perhaps 17-20 or so, as weak high pressure off the coast battles with a large offshore low near Vancouver Island.
If you’re looking for wind and waves, the central and south coast are the places to be this weekend. It’ll be 15-20 on the central coast and 30ish on the south coast. An 8 foot northwest swell at 11 seconds gives you an awesome day on the water..
In other news, this morning is the Ladyfinger ride out of Dirty Fingers Bike Repair. Meet at 10 speed coffee at 8:30 for coffee, which powers your 9am ride. That’s ladies only.
Tonight we have movies in the park at Jackson Park playing Ratatouille, an excellent animated flick about a rat who wants to be a chef. The movie starts around 9!
Whatever you do today, have an awesome day!
