Good morning!
Mountain Weather Forecast:
What a gorgeous day it is. Everyone escape your caves today and spend at least a few minutes in the sun.
Today starts off with NW wind at 20-30 up high, fading to light and variable by 1pm. Skies will be clear and the free air freezing level will be 8-9000’.
Tomorrow looks clear as well, with light and variable wind early, going to W 5-10 by 4pm. The free air freezing level will be at least 9-10000’.
Thursday looks clear and dry with the free air freezing level at 9-10000’ with SW wind at 5-10 all day.
We’ll see clouds move in overnight Thursday with some light precipstarting around 10am. The snow level starts at 6500’, but falls to 5500 by 10am and 4000’ by 4pm. We’re going to see maybe .1” to .2” of water value, so just an inch or two of snow, by Saturday morning. Winds on Friday will be SW 20-30 early switching to WNW 20-30 by 4pm. That’s probably not going to be enough to cause any serious issues.
It looks like we’ll see 3-4” of snow Saturday as the southern edge of a system clips us.
Until then, enjoy the sunshine, and pray for more snow next week (at this time models suggest high pressure will build back in after Saturday). Have an awesome day today!
Gorge Forecast:
Light westerlies this morning will fade as high pressure builds in. We’ll see some easterlies in the 20-25 range the next couple of days. The Nothing will reside over the Gorge, more than likely, keeping things gloomy. Head to the mountain for some relief.
