Good morning,
Today is Friday, and I’m probably not going to be able to update this forecast until Sunday, so here’s your weekend forecast.
Today brings sunny weather to the Gorge with west wind at 15-18mph near Hood River. A low pressure system off the coast will give us east wind tomorrow. It’s quite difficult to predict easterly strength when the low is right along the coastline, but I’ll say 17-21 at this point. Sunday doesn’t look windy at all, as that low pressure system tracks across the Oregon/Washington border.
In the mountains, we’ll see sunny weather with a few clouds today. Tomorrow and Sunday see systems swing across from the coast. We’ll see southerly wind with this system, so we’re not going to see a ton of snow. Call it 2-3” above 3000’ on both Saturday and Sunday. The next significant snowfall in the Cascades will come on Tuesday.
