Random Morning Thoughts
I’m sitting here in a happy little bubble of bliss this morning; I spent the last 36 hours connecting with amazing people. Equally importantly, I spent the last 36 hours seeing myself reflected in the eyes of people I respect, admire, and care deeply about.
So many of us don’t believe in ourselves. We secretly wonder if people will, over time, discover us as someone other than who they see now. We believe, at our core, that we are bad or unloveable or unworthy or some other unpleasantry. We may believe this unconsciously, experiencing the world and our relationships with a continual sense of discomfort, worry and lack of ease.
This can change.
In the meantime, stop for a moment and reflect upon the people who choose to be around you. You are a flower, and they are the bees drawn to your nectar. They, believe it or not, see you for who you are. And they like you, or they wouldn’t be there. My friends, you are your friends; they reflect you back to you.
If you don’t like them so much, it may be time to take a look inward at what you don’t like about you, because youre view of yourself will affect your friend choices. If you do like your friends, you are liked by them. End of discussion. They’re there because you’re worthy. They’re there because you’re loveable. They’re there because you’re a good and decent human being. And because you’re awesome. Have an awesome day.
Gorge Weather Forecast
It was mostly cloudy when I crawled out of bed this morning. That’s due to a wide and wavy (says NOAA) front that’s clipping the region. Expect the sky to clear up some this afternoon. In the meantime, expect temps in the low 50’s early and mid 70’s this afternoon. Light wind early, moderate late. Tomorrow looks partly cloudy with temps in the low 50’s early and mid 70’s late with moderate wind. Sunday looks partly cloudy with temps in the upper 40’s early and the mid 70’s in the afternoon. Light wind.

Road and Mountain Biking
There does seem to be some rain falling out of this weather system, but that rain isn’t anywhere near us. So, expect a continuation of dusty trail conditions near Hood River with better dirt on the trails near Old Man Pass. Road biking looks good this morning (light wind) and on Sunday (light wind all day).
