Good morning,
Thank you to everyone who showed up for the Seven Streams tree planting party yesterday. We planted over 500 trees along the trail corridor and in the riparian zone. If you’re riding along this summer and you see a little tree along the trail, give it a squirt from your water bottle!
Missed the party yesterday? There’s a work party today on the Gorge’s most awesome trail: The Whoopdee. Join Steve Dunn (whose selfless volunteer efforts over the last several years have resurrected this trail and made it awesome) at 9am. Meet at the flat field on the east side of Old Dalles Road between the Whoopdee exit and Whoopdee entrance. And make sure that next time you see Steve, you tell him how awesome his trail is. The weather will be good for trail building today: occasional sprinkles. Temps in the low 40’s early and upper 40’s later. For you wind Johnnies, you’ll have W 15-18 in the central Gorge all day, with W 21-24 east of the low clouds this morning, dropping to 15-18 this afternoon.
Tomorrow looks partly cloudy with sprinkles throughout the day. Temps will be in the upper 30’s to start and upper 40’s in the afternoon. Wind will be W 5-10 early and W 21-24 in the afternoon.
Tuesday looks mostly clear with temps in the low 40’s early and mid 50’s late with light west wind. Wednesday looks clear and sunny with slightly warmer temps and light west wind.
Mt. Hood sees continued snow flurries today, with heavier snow tonight for 2-3” by Monday morning. The snow level will be 1500′ early and 2500′ this afternoon. Wind will be NW 20-25 this morning, 10-15 midday and light overnight.
