Good morning,

That was one crazy rainstorm last night. According to Larry’s Hood River Weather website, we doubled the rainfall record for yesterday, with almost ¾ of an inch and we’ve already set a record for today.

That’s going to do a number on the hiking and biking trails today. So today is probably a day to leave your bike at home and let the trails rest. If you want to help the trails, remember there’s a work party on the 140 trail in Post Canyon today starting at 9am, and there’s a work party on Charley’s trail starting at 9:30.

Or you could head to the mountain today. It’s the last day of the season at Mt. Hood Meadows. You’ll still be able to ride the terrain park at Skibowl for a while, and T-Line will be open almost all summer, but today’s it for meadows. As of 5am, it had just started snowing up there after raining all night and now it’s just foggy.

If you want to get on the river, today will be showery and chilly, but it will be windy. This morning gives us 16-19 from Stevenson out to Arlington, and then winds pick up to gusty 22-25 in the eastern Gorge late in the day.

Tomorrow brings showers with some clearing, with west wind in the 15-17 range all day long from Stevenson out to the eastern Gorge. Tuesday looks like a nice day, with light wind and sunshine.
