Mt. Hood Snow Forecast – 5000′

Saturday

Good morning!

There’s not much to say about the weather on Mt. Hood for the next three days. We’ll see mostly clear skies interspersed with periods of high overcast. We’ll see an inversion in the valleys with above-freezing temps between 32 and 36 between 5000’ and 10000’ for the three-day period. Winds will be SE for this period, in the 10-20 range or less.

It was looking like we’d see some snow out of a system Tuesday, but that system is looking very weak, and will likely stay south of Mt. Hood for no new snow. At this point, the extended forecast through next week looks dry.

Windsurfers and kiters will enjoy strong east wind in the Gorge today, tomorrow and Monday. In other news, there’s a ski jumping contest at Skibowl today.

I know. Boring forecast. Pray for snow, or at least precip, so I can write something more interesting.

Have a great day today!
