Monday. Perfect packed pow, all week long.

Mt. Hood Snow Forecast

We’re coming up on the start of a dry stretch on Mt. Hood. Although the snow level will stay fairly low for the next 4 days or so, temps on the mountain will hover in the low to mid 20’s. Seems like a perfect setup for a great week of skiing packed powder groom, and possibly even doing some hiking for fresh tracks. Continued after the chart…

Mt. Hood Snow Forecast, continued…

For Monday, expect light snowfall in the morning followed by clear sky this afternoon. The snowfall won’t really add much in the way of measurable fresh. The snow level today will be less than 1000′ all day, falling to the surface overnight. Wind today will be SE 10-15 early, becoming light and variable by the afternoon.

Tuesday looks clear in the morning and partly cloudy with high clouds in the afternoon. It doesn’t look like we’ll see any measurable snowfall out of the system causing the clouds. The snow level will be at the surface early, 1500′ midday, and back to the surface after sunset. Wind on Tuesday will be NW 20 in the morning and NW 15 in the afternoon.

Random Morning Thoughts

I don’t really have anything to say today, so let’s just all have an awesome day.

Disclaimer required by my grad school program: I am not your therapist (but I could be 40 graduate school credits from now). I am your weather forecaster. Take everything I say with a grain of salt, and consult with your actual therapist about your mental health issues. One other thing: I plan to keep doing this forecast indefinitely, even when I am a therapist.

Gorge Weather Forecast

It’s a cloudy and sprinkly or snowy start to the day, depending on where you are. Expect temps to hover just above freezing at river level today. No snow accumulation. East wind. 9% chance of rainbows. Temps drop below freezing tonight for an upper 20’s start to Tuesday. It’ll be dry and partly cloudy all day. Models suggest we’ll see light west wind Tuesday, giving us a high temp near 40. Yay! Wednesday starts off in the upper 20’s with a Nothing cloud and rises to near 40 with sunshine or high clouds in the afternoon. No precip. Light west wind going to light east. No rainbows.
