Good News Gardening Cafe

Combining a nursery and garden store with a cafe doesn’t seem like an intuitive idea, but it works well at Good News. Brightly colored paint and subdued lighting combine with cherry wood floors to create a soothing atmosphere for caffeine consumption and pseudo working. The interior decor is nice, but the best part of the Good News Cafe is the view out the windows into the nursery. It’s all flowers, all the time (except in the dead of winter), a good view for a coffee date with a friend.

Good News serves a variety of baked goods, including muffins, pies and quiches, along with standard breakfast and lunch fare. The cafe is open 7:30-4pm on Monday through Saturday and 8am-4pm on Sunday. It’s located at 1086 Tucker Road on the Heights in Hood River.
