El Monte Taqueria

Does a little trailer count as a restaurant? I hope so, because the sale of El Rinconcito in the fall of 2009, and the resulting decline in deliciousness was a big blow to my taco-eating habit. It’s probably a good thing, as carnitas and asada and adobada is not good for the waistline, but it’s nice to have a replacement.

El Monte is located just south of Bryant Pipe on Tucker Road. They’re open every day but Sunday when they likely go to Church to thank Someone for giving them such delicious recipes.

Big huge burritos are $5.50. Tacos are $1.50. Try the adobada.
