Mt. Hood Snow Forecast – 5000′

Friday
Saturday
Sunday

Good morning!

This, I’m afraid, is going to be a very boring forecast. We’ll see a temperature inversion over the valleys today with clear skies and fairly warm weather on Mt. Hood and a chance of high clouds in the afternoon. By midday, temps will be above freezing between 5000’ and 10000’ with SE wind at 15-20+.

Tomorrow looks the same, with the inversion mostly breaking by 10pm with the free air freezing level going to 6000’. Wind will be SE 15-20.

Sunday sees sunshine with the free air freezing level at 6000’. Monday sees… the same. Next chance for precipitation is Tuesday, but it doesn’t look like much precipitation. We’ll likely stay in a fairly dry period for the next ten days.

Hmm…. I see a day or two off in my future… =)

In other news, windsurfers and kiters get strong east wind today and Saturday, with lesser, but still windy, east wind on Sunday and Monday.

Tonight is the DimWits with Brite Lights ride in Cascade Locks from 6:30 ‘til when you’re tired, and tomorrow is a ski jumping competition at Skibowl.

Have a great day today!
