First off today, upcoming events:
On Saturday, 2nd Wind, IPS and Timberline present the Hood River Downtown Showdown, a rail jam on 4th Street. That’s Saturday from 5pm to 10pm. There’s going to be music and beer at the Pub, where you’ll have a great view of the action. It’s not often you get to see the best of the best riding rails in downtown HR, so you’d better show up and check this out!
On Sunday, Meadows hosts the NW Demo Tour, where you can try a big pile of ski and snowboard gear for free. Unfortunately, it’s not looking like a powder day for you to test all those cool phat skis… =(
Speaking of skis and snowboards, the forecast doesn’t look great for the weekend. Saturday looks like .5-.75” of water value, with snow levels around 7000 feet. Sunday looks like .5” water value, with snow levels around 6500 feet. On the bright side, you won’t be fighting people to try out all that gear…
In other recreation news, mountain biking is done for now, with trails slushy, snowy and muddy. Road biking is treacherous, with gravel and slush on the roads.
I believe the stairs are still in good shape, if you are desperate for a workout! I am…
Have a great day today, and I’ll see you at the Rail Jam tomorrow night!
