Well, it’s opening day here at Meadows, and high clouds have moved in. Guess we’ll have high clouds all day today. The free air freezing level is currently at 2000′, but will rise to 7000′ by 1pm and 9000′ by 10pm. Wind today will be light in the morning, rising to SW 15-20 by 1pm and SW 25-30 at 10pm.

Friday starts off cloudy, but quickly transitions to a rainy day by 10am or so. Rain to the order of .6” falls by 4pm. Another .8” falls by 4am Saturday. Wind on Friday will be SW 30 early, going to W 35 mid-afternoon.

Saturday morning likely starts off with rain, or possibly a mix of rain and snow, with the freezing level at 7500′ early, falling to 5000′ by 10am and 3000′ around 4pm. In the precip departement, the first .2-.3” will likely fall as rain before 10am, and then another .3” water value falls as snow by 4pm, with 2-4” of new snow. Light flurries continue overnight. Wind will be W 30-35 in the morning, going to WSW 25=30 by 10am and swinging to NW 15-20 around 4pm.

Sunday looks partly cloudy early, becoming sunny midday. The freezing level will be 2000′ in the morning, falling to 1000′ by noon. Wind will be NW 15-20.

Monday looks fairly dry. Tuesday and Wednesday look snowy, and Thursday looks rainy. But… that’s a long ways out to be making a call.

Have an awesome day today!
